National Treasure is getting a three-star rating because in my house, one of us thinks it's a 5, with great action, fun, snappy dialogue and a hot lead actor, while the other thinks it's the most hideously boring movie she's ever had to watch more than 4 times.
My wife loves it. She thinks it's funny, it's clever, it's full of awesome action and terrific characters.
I think it's dreadful, with dialogue right out of the "Lois and Clark School of Witty Repartee'" which is to say...it's not.
