We have tried Black and Decker product and it is kindergarden compared to this product.
I bought two so I can keep one on charge for my wife, and she can alternate. wish it had a slide in battery but it lasts longer, stays sharper longer, and holds it's charge longer than other products used for the same purpose. Liova S. Rayburn user in Refugio, Texas

I bought this tool with the sole purpose of trimming the grass along the wooden swingset in my backyard. I hate the weed eater, it's big, loud, bulky and too much for such a quick trim job. I LOVE this thing! I charge it, use it to trim the grass around the swingset, the sidewalk, flower beds, whatever...it's durable and perfect. It even does well on hedges believe it or not haha! Love this little guy! You do have to bend over a lot though...so maybe not for the elderly...I'm used to getting in the dirt and sitting in it...so I didn't mind. I like that you can cut the grass so short it's almost just dirt with this...I really whack it down along the swingset and I don't have to worry about doing it again for weeks. EXCELLENT!

I had an older version of this grass shear which worked fine, but had a few glitches. I am happy the current version got rid of those glitches. You can use it without having to press the buttons constantly. Also you can easily unplug it now. And the blade span is a bit wider, speeding things up.
