Amazon.com Product Description The Fiskars ratchet anvil pruner is an ideal choice for day-to-day pruning. Lightweight and easy to use, the pruner features a ratcheting action that enables easy cutting with minimal stress on wrists and hands. The tool's high-carbon, rust-resistant steel blades include a non-stick coating that allows the pruner to smoothly slice through stems and branches all-season long. Its handle features a softgrip insert for added comfort, and the blade is designed to accommodate a 3/4-inch cutting capacity.

Shrubbery "Look Out" September 30, 2008 Claudia Standridge I am very pleased with the purchase of my Fiskar Ratchet Pruner #7685. I have arthritis in my fingers and have been unable to return to my gardening. Now thanks to my ratchet pruner, I am back in business. My husband was very skeptical of this purchase; however, since I can now help him in the yard, he thinks I made a wise decision. The cost was unbelievable and I would certianly recommend this product to anyone. Sincerely Claudia Standridge csmylady@aol.com PS Delivery service was great
Power Pruners June 5, 2008 Andrew H. Pfeiffer (Nashville, TN) This ratchet pruner really does the job. I am able to cut off fairly thick stems of wild-growing stuff in the yard with this handy tool. The ratchet works gives much better leverage than regular pruners. A steal at the price. And they are handy to carry around. My only complaint is the closing/locking mechanism could be a little better.
Should've known better... May 30, 2008 W. Jenks (California, USA) I had a cheap pair of ratchet anvil pruners I was replacing that lasted several years. But I should've known better than to buy another plastic one. This broke the first cut on a branch no bigger than a half inch - really. And, no, it wasn't iron wood. Better stick with loppers or bypass clippers. I'll read up on other Fiskar products before buying again.
Lasted less than an hour December 19, 2007 eclectic reader (pennsylvania) It worked great until the handle broke. This is definitely a light-duty tool. Unfortunately, the package advertising leads you to believe that it can be used for larger chores.
FIskars anvil pruner - Not! June 30, 2007 John Harris (Belfair, WA) It looked like a good tool but I find that it doesn't have the opening I need and doesn't work as well as the $5.00 anvil pruner I found at the hardware store.
