Fiskar's are wrist-friendly September 17, 2008 Teresa Gelder (Lynden, WA) Inspite of having a tendonitis problem in my wrist I can easily use these pruning implements- I bought 3 sizes and love them all. The hedge trimmer works better and more easily than our electric pruning shears. They are the best!
Wife Loves Them! August 4, 2008 R. D. Long (NE Florida) I bought these for my wife to use when she is trimming the hedges at our house. She does not like the electric trimmers I use - too heavy for her. These fit her perfectly. My only caution to her is to be careful around woody branches so she does not nick the aluminum blades. Power gear makes them easy to use for trimming light hedge growth. She loves them!
A bummer of a shear June 19, 2008 Owen McNulty (Florence, SC) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have just tried these shears and hit a dead branch which put a nick in the blades and now won't work. Don't buy these shears!
Lifetime Warranty but didn't last more than a few bushes May 9, 2008 Matthew Brockett (Clinton, NY United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
We bought this product because we heard it was a solid company. I used it the day we got it, was clipping some bushes along our house and the blades bit into each other and rendered itself useless. It would not close beyond where the two blades gouged into each other. I filed it down so I could use it again but it does not cut the same. I am in the process of exercising the warranty. Other than that happening, it cut very well while it lasted, better than most any I have used in the past. I would buy it again because of the warranty and how it performs while in working order.
Blades damaged after 10 minutes May 7, 2008 R. Papcun (Washington DC) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Like another review the blades on these shears hung up on each other after 10 minutes of use. I bought this model at Home Depot thinking it would last me forever. I live in a new home and my shrubs are very small but were needing some minor trimming. I was using these shears for about 10 minutes and all of a sudden they would not close all the way. I thought maybe a small branch was caught in them. When I looked at the blades there was a slight groove/nick on each blade and they were biting each other. As another review wrote, the blades are too soft or something. I took them back to Home Depot (having just bought them like 30 minutes earlier) and got the cheaper Fiskars shears. I finished the job with the cheaper shears with no problem.
