Best loppers ever! July 5, 2008 Vick R. Hines (Austin, Texas) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The Fiscars 7972, 15 inch anvil loppers are the toughest, most durable loppers I have ever used. They have survived cutting roots buried in gravel and other, similar abuses with no visible damage. Despite the compact 15 inch total length, these geared loppers have plenty of power for nipping dried hardwood limbs. Constructed of glass-filled nylon, the only metal on the 7972's is the cutting blade and two large pivot screws. I have destroyed all-metal loppers. These promise to outlast 5 conventional ones.
Good enough to order for two years in a row. March 1, 2008 EMJ (East Texas) Had these last summer. Used them so much I wore them out. Reordered same size and model. Really work.
Light Weight, Smooth Action October 10, 2007 Lynn Hoffman, author:The New Short Course in Wine 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
These anvil loppers are feather light and have a very pleasant smooth action. You can work for much longer without your hands and arms getting tired. Be aware that anvil type pruners inevitably exert some crushing pressure on the stubs of branches left behind and so are best used for dead wood and robust plantings. --Lynn Hoffman, author of New Short Course in Wine,The and the smooth-acting bang BANG: A Novel. Endures the test of time February 1, 2007 T. Shultz (Southern CA) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I have had this pruner for about 7 years and it has earned its keep. Great for everything that's too big for your regular clippers and you don't want to drag out the big loppers. A must for pruning roses.
clippers January 18, 2007 L. Dow (TX) This is a fantastic clipper. For the person with arthritis, this makes clipping branches a breeze.
