We were thoroughly impressed with this powerful and well-made lopper in our real-life tests and it's now one of our favorite tools. wW sliced through living and dead 1"-diameter branches without straining ourselves or the tool and the telescoping handles are a big plus in our book - with the handles extended we were able to prune branches 10'-high without using a ladder. My father got these pruners for me as a gift and I have been very happy with them. The ratcheting mechanism on these pruners makes it so much easier to use then standard pruners. My pruners did initially come with a piece of the soft foam on the handle scuffed off. I contacted customer service at Jack's Tool Shed and they immediately sent me another pruner and gave me a return label to send the defective one back. I would definitely buy from them again.
