Customer Reviews:
14 inch handle good length, reduces back strain and back pain May 18, 2008 Jeffrey P. Restuccio (Memphis TN USA) I have this product and really like it with the flat interchangeable blade. Using my Lunge and Weed stance, I can weed a bed using an ergonomically correct, legs-bent, knee over the foot, back-straight, crouching stance, which is both ergonomic, aerobic and powerful. Hand tools with short, five-inch handles tend to cause the gardener to stoop over or stretch forward in an awkward stance that will cause back strain and pain. Wit the head, this tool will be about 18" which is a very good length for hand tools. Use hand tools that are pushed, like a trowel, as little as possible, or for short intervals, like 3 - 5 minutes at a time. Using hand tools that are pulled toward you are much better, ergonomically and won't injure your back. See my videos on [...] Jeffrey Restuccio, Author, Get Fit Through Gardening
versatility July 8, 2006 Mar A. Dvorachek The ability to change from a short to long handle is very nice, though i'm puzzled as to why Amazon doesn't carry the long handle.
