Spunkly little cart January 8, 2009 L. Wolfe (Seattle, WA) I gave the cart to my dad for xmas. He is going to use it to hall wood for the fire and yard waste to the curb. We have to wait until the snow melts to give it a test run but in the livingroom it looks pretty sturdy, tires are big and nubby, turns well and dumps! It was not easy to put together. Not impossible but it took a while.
Gorilla Cart January 7, 2009 D. Yates (High Ridge, MO United States) So far so good. Haven't really got much of a chance to use for yard work yet. I really like the sturdy wheel base. It seems to make sharp turns easily without tipping.
I Love my Gorilla Cart!! November 23, 2008 Thistle (The Desert Southwest, USA) Although I could have gotten this for about 20.00 less at a local store, I'd have had no way to get it home, so I ordered it from Amazon. Within days it was delivered to my door and a short time later it was out of the box and assembled without difficulty. I do a lot of yard work, about 100 square feet worth of vegetable 'square foot gardening' as well as my large flower garden, and various improvement projects. I wanted some sort of wagon to help with hauling stepping stones, tree clippings, loads of freshly mixed planting soil and so on. This gorilla cart has been a fabulous work mate! It's sturdy and strong, the wheels roll easily over uneven ground, they turn on a dime for excellent maneuverability, and best of all is the dump feature!! Oh how I love that dump feature! Just pull the leaver in front and lift up a bit on the bed. The back wheels fold inward allowing you to dump the load exactly where you want it. What a marvelous design! Why didn't someone think of that sooner?! This cart has made yard work sooooo much easier! When I need to replant any of my many many large pots, I just carry them in the cart over to the potting table rather than in my arms. Large bag of trash or yard clipping to go out? Save your back and just tote it in your cart just as easy as you please. Putting in a new walkway with pavers? Unload the stones from your trunk into the cart and transport them to the yard easily with no sore muscles afterwards. Don't scratch your arms all over while moving trimmed tree branches, just load them on your Gorilla Cart and haul them away. I even use my cart to haul things from the house to the shed and vice-versa. This cart has a 600 pound capacity, good sized tires that run easily over rough terrain, slick and easy dump ability, and for those who have a lawn tractor this carts handle converts to connect for towing. This is such a fabulous idea, it's tough, it's versatile, very functional, and fun! My Gorilla cart has quickly become my favorite yard tool! I Love It!
Great for full-figured cats November 20, 2008 Jason A. Thomas (USA) 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
We had to take our cat Leila to a show for Reubenesque cats. The problem is that we needed some way to transport her. In the past, we've tried wheelbarrows at these shows, but we have found that it's difficult to navigate a traditional wheelbarrow on the show floor and dealers rooms where everyone else has their wheelbarrows and carts. Something we could drag behind us would be much better. Our first attempt at using a "Radio Flyer" was brief and sad. About halfway through the first day, her weight caused the axel to grind down, and finally one of the wheels sheared off. She poured out of the wagon like a hefty bag full of hot applesauce. A few of the attendees were nice enough to help us get her into the car, and we just had to go back home and missed the rest of the show. This year we upgraded to the Tricam Gorilla Cart. The payload IS a little smaller than we expected, as other reviewers have commented. We were hoping to have enough room in the cart for her and a weekend's supply of food, but she filled the tub pretty completely, so we just tied the sacks of food on the sides of the cart. It looked sort of like a chuck wagon! We talked about getting a cover for it next year, and maybe putting a giant pair of chaps on Leila. Anyhow, the cart held up fine. She was below the 600 pound capacity of course, and the cart didn't sag, shatter, warp, or make embarassing creaking noises like the others we'd tried in the past. Sometimes when she was purring, the whole cart sort of vibrated, but it didn't affect its functionality. My only recommendation might be to make the tub a little larger. She came right up to the rim, and a couple of times when we went around a corner, some of her would "spill out", but we would just grab it and push it back in the cart.
Tricam GOR200B-T Gorilla Carts November 9, 2008 James R. Valley (Enfield, CT. USA) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
Was impressed with how well the bottom of the cart was built but the plastic part of the cart is smaller than it looks and also very flimsy would have been much better to pay a few bucks more for a steel or thicker plastic. When I put firewood in it the plastic top bulges and will not hold anywhere near 600 lbs. without breaking the plastic
