This axe is specifically designed for the carver and sculptor using traditional forging methods. The characteristic curved edge, carried well above the head's eye, the position of the edge in relation to the handle and the wide beveled face make this axe a good carving tool. The axe has a 4 3/8" face, a 14" hickory handle and weighs 2 lbs. Each axe is shipped razor sharp and includes a very complete book on use and care of your new carving axe. Made in Sweden.
