Don't buy it unless you can conveniently return it August 25, 2010 D Bollman Worked for one day. I used it with a CFL and it seemed to work for a while now it just flickers the CFL and won't turn on an incandescent at all. As others have said it requires some light to be present for the motion sensor to work.
Worked for about 5 minutes August 25, 2010 Baroke Was great for about 5 minutes until it stopped working. Okay, maybe it was two days. It definitely wasn't more than that. I'm still in denial that I paid money for this thing so it's a paperweight in my office.
Not so good August 20, 2010 Jaime A Trillos M (HIALEAH, FL, US) Bought two, only one worked. The one that works does it anytime, day or night, it's hypersensitive.
First Alert Motion Senser August 1, 2010 Lyle J Dorn (WILD ROSE, WI, US) I ordered Two, Good Thing, because one burnt out the second week!
Otherwise works good!
Works great July 7, 2010 Phillip in IL I saw this advertised in a magazine for twice the price I got it on Amazon for and installed it in my basement. It works great, and eveyone in the household loves it. It's especially great because in my old house you'd always be struggling to find the pull switch for this light. I may order another one for another area of our basement.
It's too bad it doesn't work outside or with halogen bulbs, but it is advertised as such, and it's still economical to use with low watt bulbs.
