| Customer Reviews: A MUST HAVE to set up any travel hammock February 3, 2010 H. Angeles (Hawaii, USA) Lightweight, versatile, quick and easy to use, and essential for any travel hammock. I bought these straps for my ENO Doublenest and my husband's Grand Trunk lightweight travel hammock. Works perfectly with both and it doesn't scar the trees/hanging aparatus it hangs from.

Excellent, they held my 300Lbs + weight no problem. Easy to setup and take down. Lightweight and easily packable in very little space.
A Definite Must Have. July 9, 2009 JBryant (Colorado, USA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I just bought an ENO DoubleNest Hammock and this is a MUST HAVE! I have some friends that have the regular straps, but they are definitely limited on hammock placement and do not have as many options. I like these straps because I can hang it from close trees or trees that are further apart with the many different strap options.
Awesome tree friendly straps. June 16, 2009 Majka (Chicago, IL) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I bought the PRO straps for my hammock and they rock. At first, I was confused, since the straps say they are rated for 200lbs, but the picture shown says they should carry 400lbs. As my hammock can hold 400 lbs, I wanted that same capacity from my straps. A quick call to the manufacturer clarified that the capacity is per strap and the total load can indeed be 400 lbs. They just haven't updated their photos of the product. Using these is a snap, they haven't scared or chafed the bark on the trees, and they did hold both myself and my husband just fine. They even survived a 6 year old using the hammock for a swing and slide set all weekend. MUCH easier than saggy ropes that cut into the poor trees. They are light and much smaller than the picture makes them look.
Good alternative to rope May 24, 2009 C. Reynolds (Pearland, TX USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Updated note: The tag on the straps for the "Pro" are labeled as 200 lb limit. Overall a great product but I was a little disappointed that the ENO double-hammock is rated for 400 lbs, while the straps are rated for only 200 lbs. But it does not state whether the 200 lbs is for each strap, or for total between the 2 straps - so I will contact the manufacturer and update the review if I can get clarification.
The straps use a slip-knot that goes around a tree. You then hook your caribiners (or s-hooks) through one of six different leveled loops sewn into the rope - each side can be on a different loop. Very sturdy and easy to use and long enough for most hammock locations. You may have to play around with your particular hammock to get used to which loops you should use to get it as "tight" as you want it (so your hammock doesn't sag) but I would definitely recommend this product. It also seems more-tree friendly than plain ropes.
The photos on Amazon make these look pretty big to carry. But, they are very sturdy, lightweight and thin - and have their own drawstring-type case. If you camp often, these straps are a great investment.
