Product Description Contains Ph Up (add a little at a time when your nutrient pH is too low in order to raise the pH to the proper level), Ph Down (uses food grade Phosphoric acid to lower the pH to the proper level), and Ph Test Indicator (fill a test-tube halfway with nutrient, add a few drops of pH Test Indicator, and observe the coloration of the liquid in the test vial. Very pleased July 29, 2010 Michael I was very pleased with the product i purchased from General Hydroponics. Fast delivery and product was well priced. Will purchase from again. Thank you.
Great Product! July 5, 2010 RacerMa4565 All in all this is a great product. Time and time again it always performs like it's suppose to. Great seller! Fast shipping!
its perfect, it serves it purpose June 7, 2010 Waffles (USA) This isnt rocket science people. This is very easy to use. If you lose the little piece of paper with the ph chart on it dont worry. Its also on the back of the tiny indicator bottle.
Just hold the water you're testing up to the back of the bottle if your having a hard time telling what color the test water turned.
Its simple. I find i use PH+ up more than i use the orange one. But im no where near half bottle gone. Plants dig it.
Works great May 21, 2010 Nebula Haze (U.S.) This kit is easy to use and works great. To start, you simply scoop a bit of the water to be tested into the small clear container that comes with the kit. You then add a few drops of the pH indicator solution, and check to see what the water color ends up being. You have a guide which tells you what pH is indicated by which color. If the pH is too high, you add a few drops/gallon of "pH Down." If the pH of your water is too low for your purposes, you add a few drops/gallon of "pH Up." I grow plants hydroponically and need to ensure the proper pH of the water I use, or else my plants they won't be able to fully access the nutrients in the water. While this kit isn't as precise as a digital pH meter, I have never had any problems with my plants so it's been precise enough for me.
PH balanced March 27, 2010 Mr. Ron Derringer (California) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
What else can you say? ummm... my water is a lovely 5.5. It does what it's supposed to do.
