I have tried several planters and this is the best of the lot. I agree with the person who says it's good for planting in seed trays. Especially for the small seeds.
I wouldn't expect this to be a fast planter, but it's easier then picking out seeds by hand. With practice, it's easy to drop a single seed into a hole.
When you get it, I'd recommend practicing with some expendable seeds. Like Turnips which are cheap.
If used in conjunction with a light colored funnel you stick in the hole, it is even easier.

This is just the tool you need to dispense very small seeds into seed trays, one or a few at at time. It's simple, but it is well designed and just works well. Essential for handling small seeds like coleus and annual flower seeds. Good value!

Seeds do not dispurse evenly, but it still better than planting by hand, and it is faster, with less back-breaking stress.
