Amazon items are generally hard to get, out of stock, refunded or ANYTHING ELSE, but this one was a smooth transaction, I was surprised to actually get it. Thank you amazon for my first painless transaction.

1 out of 5 stars No Such Thing As Customer Care!   July 5, 2010

Hi My Name Is Tommy
Had Gotten Aerogarden as present in January. My sister Purchased
for over $200.00 With Shipping.Unit Failed Two months in(light problem)
I called Customer care,3 times to get a person(At Meetings)Sent me a new base
no charge. After 3 weeks of waiting I called and was told Part was on back order.
The next day part arrived?I Plugged in and same problem.I checked the cable coming to the lamp, and it had power,so I unscrewed the lamp head to ck if something was loose. Both 3amp 120v fuses were blow. They are soldered to the circuit board, and cant be replaced. So I called Customer Service and advised them that the hood was bad,And was told that by unscrewing the hood violated my Warranty.I advised them that Although I had Aerogarden For 6 months that It only ran for two.I told them that I removed cover to resolve a problem, and would not get another wrong part after another long wait.I was told SORRY!I can only sell you another Hood.I told Gentleman on phone that was outrageous,And If he worked For me,he would be fired! So my $200.00 Aerogarden sits in a box along with two $26.00 seed kits(one ruined.I feel the product has merit.I will not do business with any Company that wont stand behind there products.Maybe they should farm out the customer service department to Egypt,as they have more respect and better product knowledge!

I got the pro-100 and I love it I'm growing herbs right now but I have noticed problems with their seeding company, they are not bad seeds just get nocked out some times that's probably more packaging. I lost my basil but, just went and got some at the local grocer and they are doing better then the herbs that came with it but everyone sprouted and appear to be the right herbs. This product is so easy to work with it makes gardening very easy, if you're not an experience gardener you may run into problems like tending, but gardeners love the aerogarden because their is more tending to outdoor plants. I'm getting another because the yeild seems to need more their isn't enough out of one but if you live in a cold climate, this product is great, if you unable to tend a traditional garden this is great. The noise issue I see addressed by others, I've never had a problem with. It sounds like a small stream dripping over pebbles and is very soothing, I think.

2 out of 5 stars Grows Like Crazy But Few Tomatoes   May 23, 2010

I bought my aero garden back in January 2010 and it is now May 2010. My tomato plants did both sprout (though after 2 months...but my house was right at the bottom of the listed 'ideal temperature' in the manual). They continue to grow to this day, but so far even with me hand pollinating all the flowers I see at least once a day per the instructions, only two tomatoes have grown (and both of them started growing about 2 months ago and still are green and small). I'm assuming I just had the misfortune of receiving a bad batch of fertilizer or something since many others have stated having bumper crops of tomatoes. I did buy a separate garden green's kit, so I guess I'll chop down my tomato 'trees' and try my hand with them and hope for better results.

Also, just as a warning...the manual does say the lights need to be replaced every six months of use as they start to lose effeciency. The lights run around $20 each and it requires three of them.

LOVE IT!!!! Teeny bit noisy, but still great!!!! Might sill have 6 pods & not 7 but it grows more than 7 small plants would. Doesn't grow fast but not slow. (written by Jack, 7 y.o., owner of two AeroGardens constantly in use -- GREAT for kids, too).
