Product Description Coconut Coir is an organic tiny particle which is obtained from coconut husk while separating fibre from husk. The Coir is also known as Cocopeat. These are 5 bricks of compacted Coconut Coir or Cocopeat. Each brick weighs around 650gr. Used in Horticulture and Floriculture Environments. Coco peat provides with an organic alternative to rock wool and perlite media without the environmental disposal issues. Hydroponic crop production using Coco peat makes the opportunity to consistently maximize yield and provide better quality. High water and nutrition holding capacity.

| Customer Reviews: Great Worm Bedding August 26, 2010 MDV After reading about worm composting, I ordered this product to assure a comfortable transition for my new compost workers--the worms. I felt like a kid when I put water on the coir and was amazed as it expanded rapidly. I had to transfer it from a four quart bowl to an eight quart bowl. I mixed it with shredded newspaper and it allowed for good aeration and didn't clump like peat.
Happy with product and seller. July 8, 2010 Potatochips101 Product easy to use. Just soak in water and wait for it to break apart. Squeeze out water and place damp cocopeat into your plant mix. Fluffy and drains well. No complaints.
Great product. Poor packaging. July 6, 2010 Tweet (Louisiana) This was easy, just copied from another reviewer, thanks Kappledo, very well said.
"The coir bricks arrived very fast, but wasn't packed very well. It was just in a cardboard box and during shipping some of the loose material was coming out of the cracks in the cardboard. Seems like it should have been in plastic or something. But other than the packing, I would have given it 5 stars because it appears to be good quality and arrived quickly."
Used another similar product of equal quality, but price was too high. Will be using this coir as part of my worm bedding. Also as an alternative of peat moss.

New bedding for my worms May 3, 2010 Stephen N. Barrett, Jr. (honolulu, hi usa) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Purchased the coconut coir as replacement bedding for my worm bin. After trying other solutions, with very little success, I decided to go back to using coconut coir for the bedding. The worms seem to like it much better!!
